A message from Steve Schale Endorseing Kendrick Meek

Below is the text of a message sent out by Steve Schale, on behalf of the Kendrick Meek campaign.

Last year, I had the great honor of leading the Obama campaign here in Florida. For five months, I had the greatest job in the land working with what I believe was the most amazing organization of volunteers ever assembled.

But as rewarding as it was to see Florida’s 27 electoral votes go to Barack Obama, I knew that we had only taken the first step on the long road to change, especially here in Florida.

The State of our State is not good. Ten percent of our fellow residents are unemployed, some four million of our neighbors lack basic health insurance and some forty percent of our high school students will never get a diploma. While we live in a state whose potential is limitless, we have a Governor who seems to be satisfied with our current state of affairs, unwilling to lead our state towards greatness. Now he wants to represent us in the United States Senate.

My friends, we deserve better.

Kendrick Meek has what it takes to help lead our state towards a better tomorrow. He helped the President pass the recovery act, protecting jobs here in Florida. He’s fought to expand health insurance to every child in America and he’s been a leader for our public school kids. His values are Florida’s values and in him, we will have a Senator who will fight every day for the core principles that you and I hold dear.

Kendrick knows that it was your blood, sweat and tears that delivered Florida for President Obama, and he knows that it is the collective efforts of everyday people who will send him to Washington and help deliver change up and down the ballot in 2010. That is why Kendrick is working to build a grassroots movement to place his name on the ballot by petition, one that can eventually take our message of change door to door in every corner of our state.

But he can’t do it alone. And here’s where I need your help.

Please join the effort to help his petition drive – go to www.kendrickmeek.com to sign up to help. There you can even download your own petition and print it for yourself, friends, and neighbors. Please sign up to help today. Change can’t happen without you.

Thank you again for everything you did to win Florida and send Barack Obama to the White House. Now let’s get to work to make sure he has a partner in the Senate who will help him fulfill our collective dreams for our nation’s future.

Sincerely,

Steve Schale
Florida State Director
Obama for America, 2008

P.S. While visiting Kendrick’s campaign site you can also build your own profile and fundraising page, find the next event in your area, and help put Kendrick on the ballot by having your friends, family and co-workers sign our petition.

Charlie adventure with the Neo-Nazi's

Evening Citizens,

Tonight I sat down on my love seat and was in the mood for a war movie. As I was browsing through my selection I say to myself "Saving Private Ryan, Rambo, Gettysburg, Full Metal Jacket, Ah here we go Apocalypse Now." Going to grab my pillow and enjoy the smell of Napalm.

Funny thing happened at the same time across town though at the Governors mansion, Apparently he was in the mood for a historical flick as well. Browsing through his selection, he picked up "Jud Süß" instead. Now for those of you that are not up to date on your movies, "Jud Süß" is a film about "a 1940 German film about a sneaky Jew who tricks an 18th century Duke into giving him control of his kingdom. According to Wikipedia, the movie was made by the notoriously anti-Semetic German director Veit Harlan under the direction of the Nazi Party’s chief propagandist Joseph Goebbels."

Now, everybody has that guilty movie they didn't mean to watch and I am sure that Charlie knows that. Now as I am trying to find a way to make this seem like a mistake for you Charlie, your aide sends out a letter with the Florida Seal on it that oddly enough resembles the following:

According to alexpickett.com "Well, the cold hearts at the White Reference blog were thoroughly warmed, if cautiously:

At this point, there is no need to over-interpret Governor Crist’s reaction. It could be that he is simply a buff of old movies and that he finds this movie enjoyable. Eventually, he could find this movie educational as well. It’s worth the time to watch it."

Now even though you are glad to share this film about stealing something somebody else has worked so hard to gain, I am not sure the State is so happy to receive it. I can see how your predecessor, considering he was in a similar situation where he stole something somebody else worked so hard to gain about 9 years ago, would like this flick but you? Charlie, my credibility is going further and further down the drain trying to defend you and soon I will have the reputation of Rush Limbaugh(minus the drug habit) if you keep letting your aides write your thank you letters.

Next time if you want to thank somebody on behalf of the State, thank Spielberg for being awesome and stick with "Forrest Gump"

Night Citizens,
FuRyan

Ted Nugent Disses Obama

"Nugent who said, during an August 2007 concert, -- as he was holding what appeared to be two assault rifles -- "Obama, he's a piece of sh**, and I told him to suck on my machine gun."

Says President represents "tyranny and slavery"...

On a recent Spinner article, guitarist Ted Nugent expressed his views on President Obama.

Here's a bit:

"With a liberal in the White House, it's sad to see the celebration of mediocrity and slovenliness and the cult of denial expand. That's heartbreaking to see this once-great nation abandon the drive of excellence and the new squawking mantra of whining and excuse-making, which is why we have the president we have, and for him and his administration to defy the Constitution and Fedzilla exploding into the private sector and controlling corporations, it's shocking."

"I believe that we the people will eventually see the criminality of the Obama administration and eventually stop them one way or another, so I have eternal faith in my fellow man. I can't believe this experiment in self-government is over. I can't believe the documents our founding fathers clearly articulated and wrote are going to be abandoned for tyranny and slavery, and that's really what Obama represents. He represents that 'you people are so stupid and inept, I'll have to cover you.' I just don't believe that's true."
